In that respect, the narrative breakdown into chapters encourages fun size snippets to be binged deep beyond nightfall on May 10. It’s even harder to walk away from Uncharted 4, desperate to discover the next bout of shenanigans. ‘Just another chapter’, I kept telling myself to the detriment of a university assignment whilst playing Uncharted 2. I didn’t want to put the controller down until the credits rolled, and I’ve been here before. There’s almost no murdering during the first few hours it’s replaced by authentic character development and a story that captures your undivided attention like a newly discovered TV series accidentally binged in its entirety. The mundane (on paper) opening stanza is more reminiscent of The Last of Us than the generic shooting of Drake’s Deception. The elder Drake embodies the greedy thief deep within that Nathan has mostly repressed to flourish as the charming hero of folklore – but let’s not pretend he hasn’t stolen a lot of treasure and murdered thousands of goons just doing their job in the process. There’s some crafty writing to explain Sam’s whereabouts, and why Nate never bothered to mention him. Naturally, it all goes wrong the brothers Drake are separated, and 15 years later, a middle-aged Nate has settled into a normal life with his wife Elena. Jump ahead, and the two are serving a faux prison sentence on a futile search for the mythical $400 million treasure of notorious pirate Henry Avery. Opening with an innocent Nathan during his childhood confined to an orphanage, we’re introduced to his delinquent brother Sam (Troy Baker). ![]() Set primarily following the events of the trilogy, a hearty backstory sets the scene. Following The Last of Us, Naughty Dog has become a masterful storyteller – a quality few developers, as a whole, possess – allowing Nathan Drake to prosper with a likeable and relatable persona, the envy of all video game protagonists. Some of that can be attributed to the extra power afforded by the PS4, but it runs much deeper. Uncharted 4 is everything Uncharted 3 should have been – I’m adamant to avoid being distracted by the missteps of a 2011 PS3 sequel, but the stark contrast, and how far the development team has come going from making a great-looking game to a great game, is extraordinary. It’s easy to get swept away and make rash claims about a mid-generation game being a console’s best, so before you skim to the score know this: I’ve never been so invested in an action game’s story and its characters. With genuine emotion, a greater emphasis on character development and more balanced gameplay, A Thief’s End is not only the Uncharted game that surpasses all expectations, it’s the best in Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed catalogue. Truth be told, we thought it did with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves that was merely a taste of the greatness that was to come on PS4. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a spectacular conclusion to a series that always promised to blow us away.

While this feat is phenomenal at higher levels and absolutely worth the wait if we’re capped at 4, you won’t really get the chance to appreciate this feat. Whenever you cast an Abjuration spell of 1st level or higher, the ward regains a number of hit points equal to twice the level of the spell. When it is reduced to 0 hit points, you take the remaining damage, but the magic remains. The ward has a maximum of 3 hit points and absorbs all damage done to you. Once per day, when you cast an Abjuration spell of 1st level or higher, you can use a strand of the spell’s magic to create a magical ward that lasts until your next long rest. ![]() That being said, let’s explore the two different Wizard subclasses: With the level cap at 4, you won’t really get that much of a chance to indulge in the Wizard subclasses as much as some other classes might. Misty Step Abjuration or Evocation Wizard? Humans: Humans get a well-rounded +1 to all stats, and that’s pretty much it. Tiefling (Asmodeus or Mephistolpheles): Tieflings get a +1 to Intelligence, as well as – depending on your subrace – getting a variety of abilities and feats. Having Charisma is not a bad thing either, it’s one of the most useful stats for social interactions. Half-Elf: Getting a +2 in Charisma and a +2 in any other stat, you can get it in your Intelligence. Dex will increase your AC and your Initiative score, and if you’re playing a supportive Wizard, starting any encounter first means you can bolster your allies before the fight even begins. Your second highest stat should be Dexterity, as it is your most useful one. But don’t worry, you don’t have to select these races if you’re not a meta player.Īs a Wizard, you’ll want to prioritize Intelligence. In Baldur’s Gate 3, your race will give you various ability score increases, so picking the right one can give you a boost from the start. When creating your character, your first prompt will be to select your race. This ability alone makes them a brilliant jack of all trades. Wizards will be able to pick up Guiding Bolt Spell Scrolls – a spell normally unique to Clerics – and learn it. Whether you select your spells to start, or you learn from spell scrolls, Wizards are the most versatile spellcasters. However, to make up for that, you’ll have access to the widest and more varied spell list. Then you’ll need to remember, Wizards don’t usually have high Con, meaning you’ll have low health and be quite squishy. There are also a few other things to consider when making a Wizard, you’ll need to prioritize your Intelligence so picking a good race will be a good start. ![]() Bearing in mind, players will only have access to the first subclass feature, so it ends up being a competition between the two features more than the rest of the subclass. ![]() Will give a surge of positive emotions.Ĭoloring is important for the baby, it helps the kid to express himself and develop imagination. Thanks to a wide selection of episodes, parents can quickly find the right coloring for their child, which will help: The collection of free unicorn coloring books on the Mimi Panda website is constantly new. Delta also has the ability to heal hacked turrets and sentries, which makes a pet/minion approach to the game more viable. The fully upgraded version grants both previous abilities, in addition to allowing the player to shoot a steady stream of fire like a Flamethrower. However, when upgraded another level, it gains the ability to also shoot a Fireball. The first level of Incinerate! allows the player to set things on fire with a snap, just as in the first game. Similar to the first game, Bioshock 2 presents the player with a moral choice as to what will become of a Little Sister however, while the game allows players to Harvest a Little Sister as before, the player is also given the option to Adopt the Little Sisters. Playing as Delta also grants access to new, heavy weapons not available to the player in the first game. He can use tools like the iconic drill, which requires fuel to run, and can perform the Drill Dash which was used to lethal effect in the original game. As a prototype, Delta has the unique ability to use Plasmids, which was removed from later models, as well as a mind of his own which enables him to make his own choices in the world. In BioShock 2, the player controls a prototype Big Daddy known as " Subject Delta", the first one to ever be bound to a Little Sister and also the first one to be able to think independently. The title released world wide on February 9, 2010. It was announced that development would be handed over to 2K Marin rather than having 2K Boston develop, but BioShock's director Ken Levine confirmed that he worked on BioShock 2 but only as the "creative consultant". It was formally announced by Take-Two in March of 2008, and the initial teaser trailer, which named the game as "BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams", was included as a bonus in the PlayStation 3 version of BioShock, viewable once the game is beaten. Overview The original logo, with subtitle.īioShock 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed first-person shooter BioShock. The truth is, anyone can be guilty of one or more of the hazardous attitudes, which are a normal part of human nature. This attitude is particularly dangerous for pilots in an emergency situation because they may believe they are helpless and resign to their fate instead of taking action. These pilots tend to give up easily when faced with challenges and don’t take criticism well. While pilots must have a high level of confidence in their abilities, it’s important to avoid becoming overconfident and adopting a macho attitude.įinally, pilots with an attitude of resignation lack the confidence and conviction to believe they can make a difference in what happens to them. Both men and women are susceptible to a macho attitude, which leads to foolish and often dangerous behavior. Pilots with a macho attitude are always trying to impress others and prove themselves by taking unnecessary risks. This attitude of invulnerability can become a safety concern when pilots fail to consider the risks of their actions. Many people-not just pilots-fall into a pattern of thinking that accidents happen to others, but never to them. Invulnerability: “It won’t happen to me!” Pilots are encouraged to take time to evaluate their options before choosing a course of action. Reacting too quickly can lead to irrational decisions, such as skipping a preflight or rushing to get home despite inclement weather. Pilots always have the prerogative to speak up to authority if they believe a mistake has been made.Īccording to the FAA, an attitude of impulsivity is found in pilots who “feel the need to do something, anything, immediately.” Instead of taking a moment to think things through or select the best alternative, a pilot with an impulsive attitude does the first thing that comes to mind. ![]() Be advised that having an anti-authority attitude is different from simply questioning authority. For example, an anti-authority pilot may neglect their checklists or refuse to take advice from instructors or ATC. Pilots with an anti-authority attitude tend to believe that rules, regulations, and safety procedures don’t apply to them. Understanding each of these hazardous attitudes can help pilots of all skill levels manage risk and make safer decisions in the skies. ![]() The FAA outlines five hazardous attitudes that can compromise a pilot’s decision-making: anti-authority, impulsivity, invulnerability, macho, and resignation. Pilots also need to be aware of the attitudes that may influence their judgment and decision-making abilities to avoid dangerous outcomes. Safe flying depends on more than just a pilot’s experience and ability. ![]() # edit two vars in below : NODE_VER and CODE_PARENT_DIR The below script will allow you to install any of those nodejs versions on linux or OSX #!/bin/bash Then execute the below script once you edit with the desired nodejs version and its install parent directory I suggest you first remove all nodejs installs So we see that everything is completely contained inside the specific node version. You can combine layers, like multiple photos for a collage or a single photo with different layers that have text, which you can merge into one. If it gets it wrong, or if you have a better name, you can manually change it, but for the most part, it's a fantastic way to organize your layers so you can find them easily in a project. If you drag and drop an image into a layer, it will identify the main subject of the photo and name it. Pixelmator Pro uses machine learning to automatically name a layer. There are dozens of tools specifically designed for graphic design that I wasn't even able to dig into in the short time I've had with the app. I completely hid a messy, brightly lit/partly cloudy sky with the repair tool, which took the focus away from a washed out corner of the photo and made the whole thing look better. With the repair tool, you can fix pretty much any mistake. Using Burst or Zoom, I'm able to manipulate an otherwise horrible mess into something unique and interesting. I have quite a few blurry photos taken at live music events (in the dark, lots of action - a photographic nightmare). But, if you use some of them sparingly, you can take an otherwise boring image and make it pop. They're somewhat kitschy, with such effects as mosaic and wave, which manipulate a photo into swirls or broken into parts, or some such thing. Pixelmator Pro also features some really interesting effects that can punch up your photos. Not only are there some fantastic photo adjustment tweaks, but there is a huge array of painting tools with dozens of brushes, each with a variety of textures, sizes, brush styles, and more. Also at that time, Ward Holmquist assumed the post of artistic director of the Company and instituted the practice of performing in original language with English subtitles. Upon Maestro Patterson’s retirement at the end of June 1998, Evan Luskin became general director, after twelve years as managing director. For the final season in his forty-year career as head of the Company, Russell Patterson presented the second World Premiere for the Lyric, the 1998 production of Coyote Tales, by Henry Mollicone, with libretto by Sheldon Harnick. The program is a collaboration between the Lyric Opera of Kansas City and the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City that prepares exceptional young singers for a professional operatic career. In 1989, the Middle-America Opera Apprentice Program was born. In 1991, the Lyric Opera purchased the theatre. By 1974 the company had come into exclusive possession of the Capri under a long-term lease, consolidated offices there, and changed the name of the theater to the Lyric and the Company name from the Lyric to Lyric Opera of Kansas City. Here, during the succeeding years, the Lyric presented such contemporary works as The Saint of Bleecker Street, Of Mice and Men, Die Kluge and a world premiere of Captain Jinks of the Horse Marines along with such established masterpieces as Aida and The Magic Flute. In 1970, after a second season at the Uptown, the Capri Theatre at 11th and Central became available with a larger auditorium and traditional theatre and backstage facilities. Time magazine had pronounced the company as “a valid and important part of the American operatic explosion.” In the process, Kansas City had become one of the very few American communities where it was possible – even if only during a brief period every year – to see four different operas on as many successive nights of the week. Over the previous decade the company had mounted more than 200 performances of 30 different works. The destruction of the Rockhill ended an era for the Lyric. By 1965, the Company began touring to nearby towns, first in Missouri and later in Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Arkansas and South Dakota touring ceased in fall 1992.Īfter the close of the 10th season, a fire gutted the Rockhill and the company was offered use of the Uptown Theatre on Broadway. Friends told them it could not be done. In the fall of 1957 Russell Patterson, a young conductor, proposed to transplant the European opera-theater pattern to a more or less typical American setting. ![]()
